Today is a Bandcamp Friday twofer. Not only is Bandcamp waiving all of their profits and giving it all to their artists, but many artists who sell their music and merch on the site are donating all or some of their profits elsewhere. We’ve rounded up a handful of labels and musicians who are specifically donating their sales today to various non-profits, bail funds, and mutual aid organizations—many of which are involved with the ongoing protests against police brutality.
If you’re in the financial position to do so, then this is a golden opportunity to not only purchase some new music, but to donate to vital organizations at the same time. This list is by no means comprehensive, but here are some recommendations to get you started:
2nd Grade: 100% of proceeds being donated to The Movement for Black Lives, and The Loveland Foundation.
Arrowhawk Records: Athens Area Anti-Discrimination Movement, Portland Freedom Fund and National Bail Out.
Ba Da Bing: Brooklyn Community Foundation.
Barsuk Records: 100% Pledged to their artists, price match donations to Campaign Zero.
Bayonet: Black Visions Collective, Reclaim the Block.
Bonny Doon: Donating all proceeds from sales of new compilation to Black Lives Matter.
Cascine: Donating a portion of all sales to Black Visions Collective.
Citrus City: The Okra Project, Black Visions Collective, & The Transgender Cultural District, for the next two weeks.
Club Chai: SNapCo, Black AIDS Institute, Trans Cultural District, and LGBTQ+ Freedom Fund.
Crafted Sounds: Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Philadelphia bail funds through the weekend of Bandcamp day (June 5 - June 7)

Couch Slut: 100% of the sales from their new record will go to “the BLM movement and bail funds across the country.”

Don Giovanni Records: ActBlue's community bail funds fundraiser.
Counter Intuitive: All proceeds go to bail funds, with a matching donation up to $1000 from the label.
Dark Descent: 25% of all sales go to The Place, an outreach program for homeless young people.

Get Better Records: 100% of their share, and 100% of their artist’s share (with artist approval) will be split 50/50 between the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund and Black and Pink National.

Rough Trade Publishing: In a partnership with Bank Robber Music, Rough Trade are dropping a new compilation called Talk – Action = Zero, with all proceeds going to benefit Black Lives Matter.
